The WOW American Job Center recently hosted an Open House event that brought together job seekers, employers, and community members for a day of learning, networking, and career exploration. As a hub for workforce development and employment resources, the center provided attendees with valuable insights and opportunities to take the next steps in their careers.
The Open House event featured a range of activities and services designed to meet the diverse needs of the community:
Presentations: Attendees had the opportunity to learn about each partner and their services ranging from job search assistance to job training programs aimed to help individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
Employer Booths: Local employers set up booths to engage with job seekers and discuss potential employment opportunities. Attendees were able to network with hiring managers, learn about available positions, and submit their resumes directly.
Career Counseling & Exploration: Forward Careers team members were on hand to provide one-on-one guidance to job seekers. They offered personalized advice on career paths, educational opportunities, and job readiness. Additional, Transfr joined Forward Careers to provide career exploration opportunities in a virtual reality environment.
The American Job Center Open House demonstrated the center's commitment to empowering the community and fostering career growth. By providing job seekers with the tools and job training services they need to be successful and by connecting employers to talent and resources for continued growth, the center plays a vital role in building a stronger and more resilient workforce. Forward Careers looks forward to hosting and participating in more events like this in the future and continuing to support our community's career aspirations.
